Finding underground pipes

There are water mains everywhere. In the ground beneath our feet there are550 kilometresof drinking water pipes belonging to Borås and roughly the same amount of wastewater pipes. For this reason you need to talk to us before you begin any groundwork.

Get in touch with the water and wastewater department at Borås Energi och Miljö at least 3 to 4 working days before you aim to start excavation, blasting or geotechnical investigations. We will then check to see if there are municipal water and wastewater pipelines underground where you wish to work.

NOTE! To obtain information regarding the location of underground pipes, a Road Traffic Plan or Excavation Permit may be required; refer to Arbete på väg (Road Works).
